The Belt Type Oil Skimmer is an efficient and reliable solution for removing floating oil, grease, and hydrocarbons from industrial process tanks, coolant reservoirs, wastewater treatment systems, and effluent treatment plants. The system utilizes a specially designed continuous oil-attracting belt that selectively collects floating oil from the liquid surface while minimizing water carryover, ensuring effective oil-water separation.
The skimmer consists of a robust SS304 or powder-coated MS frame, an endless oil-attracting belt, drive motor with gearbox, scraper assembly, collection trough, and discharge outlet. The belt continuously travels through the contaminated liquid, attracting and lifting the floating oil to the top of the unit. As the belt passes through precision scrapers, the collected oil is efficiently removed and directed into the collection tray for recovery or disposal.
The process begins when the motor drives the endless belt through the oil-contaminated liquid. Due to the oleophilic properties of the belt, floating oil adheres to its surface while water drains back into the tank. The belt then passes through specially designed scraper blades that strip the accumulated oil from both sides of the belt. The recovered oil flows through the collection trough and is discharged into a storage container for recycling or safe disposal.
The system is designed for continuous automatic operation with minimal maintenance. It can be installed on machine coolant tanks, wastewater treatment plants, sewage treatment plants, oil interceptors, equalization tanks, and various industrial process tanks. The compact design, corrosion-resistant construction, and energy-efficient drive ensure reliable long-term performance even in demanding industrial environments.

- Continuous Automatic Operation: Designed for continuous operation, the system automatically removes accumulated oil without interrupting plant processes, improving overall operational efficiency.
- Low Power Consumption: Equipped with an energy-efficient geared motor, the skimmer operates with minimal power consumption, reducing operating costs and supporting sustainable plant operation.
- Minimal Maintenance Requirements: Featuring a simple mechanical design with corrosion-resistant components, the system requires very little maintenance, ensuring reliable long-term performance and reduced downtime.
- User-Friendly Design: The skimmer is easy to install, operate, and maintain. Its compact construction allows seamless integration into existing tanks, coolant reservoirs, ETPs, STPs, and industrial process systems with minimal operator intervention.
- WORKING PRINCIPLE
- The oil-contaminated liquid is collected in the process tank, coolant sump, or wastewater treatment tank where floating oil accumulates on the surface.
- The Belt Type Oil Skimmer is positioned so that the endless oleophilic belt passes through the floating oil layer.
- As the belt rotates continuously, floating oil and grease adhere to the belt surface while excess water drains back into the tank.
- The oil-coated belt travels upward through the skimmer assembly and passes between specially designed scraper blades.
- The scraper blades efficiently remove the collected oil from both sides of the belt and direct it into the collection trough.
- The recovered oil flows through the discharge outlet into a storage container for recycling, reuse, or environmentally safe disposal.
- The cleaned belt continuously returns to the tank, repeating the oil recovery cycle and providing uninterrupted, automatic removal of floating oil with minimal operator intervention.
- APPLICATION
- Effective for removing floating oil, grease, and hydrocarbons from industrial wastewater, process tanks, and coolant reservoirs.
- Ideal for wastewater treatment plants (WWTP), sewage treatment plants (STP), and effluent treatment plants (ETP) to improve treatment efficiency.
- Suitable for CNC machines, machining centers, coolant sumps, and metalworking industries to extend coolant life and improve machining performance.
- Widely used in food processing, automotive, steel, petrochemical, power, and engineering industries for continuous oil recovery.
- Supports oil recovery and reuse, reducing waste disposal costs and minimizing environmental impact.
- Helps maintain cleaner process tanks by preventing oil accumulation, reducing odors, and improving equipment performance.
- Applicable wherever floating oil needs to be removed continuously to meet environmental regulations and improve overall plant efficiency.
